After what seemed like an eternity thanks to two years of COVID, we held our first Cars, Bikes and Coffee Sunday event recently. Thankfully, the turnout was great and as usual the community came through with a bunch of amazing cars and bike that wowed onlookers and other owners alike. It’s no secret why we feel these events are so important; they are a great way of giving back to the automotive community and showing our gratitude for their support over the years. It’s also a great way for those that are new to the scene to get a taste of just how supportive, positive and exciting it can be.
Here’s a handful of photos that will give you an idea of what was on display. Porsches, Jaguars, Corvettes, Monaros, Cadillacs, Toyotas and VWs all made an appearance, but for us the standout was Mark Taylor’s stunning, red, and incredibly tough Audi Quattro Sport. What a set of wheels! And what a timeless design; if anybody ever tells you that the 80s weren’t a good decade for automotive design, all you need to do is point them in Mark’s direction and it’s case closed. Just look at it!
And remember, if you need any metal shaping, MIG & TIG welding, welding courses, body restoration, car customising, body building, car customising, metal-shaping, panel beating, restoration or vehicle body works services, make sure you talk to us first.
With the great response and positive feedback we received from this event, you can be sure that we’ll do it again sooner rather than later. We’re thinking that some time in Spring might be a good option. Watch this space for more information as the days get longer and the weather starts to warm up a litte. And if you have any questions about any of the MotorRetro services or classes in the meantime, don’t be a stranger – contact us here.
